Pézenas town is a true working town, busy throughout the year with wine-related business and viniculture, it also hosts the region's schools, and bus routes to the surrounding cities. However its old-town heart is peppered with galleries and workshop of artists and craftspeople who live here year-round, but open their doors in the summer to display their wares. It adds a charming atmsophere to this beautifully-preserved, medieval town. The late-night opening on Wednesdays and Fridays is particularly enjoyable. If you are visiting the region, be sure to include a trip to Pézenas on your itinerary.
