Outdoor Living in Languedoc

For those of us deprived of sunshine in the Northern European version of "summer", one of the great attractions of the Languedoc is the outdoor lifestyle - dining out on the terrasse, enjoying the garden surroundings, or even a view of some lush Mediterranean vegetation and stunning countryside.

Glorious weather continues well into October in the South of France, with temperatures gradually reducing from the high 30's of late summer, down to the low 20's. Breakfast on the patio is not just a distant dream.

And all whilst the grape harvest is taking place, leading to a great buzz of activity in the surrounding towns and villages. Here are some
